
Textured wallpaper, or embossed textured wallpaper was designed to be on the walls and ceilings in1888.. This was popular with Victorians creating decorative patterns to replicate plastered ceilings. Anaglypta wallcoverings were used below the dado particularly in hallways and stairs as they were hard wearing replicate panel walls.
Later it was used by the DIY decorator to covering up lumpy bumpy wall surfaces which leads to the rises of wood chip paper which was less decorative

Printing with Texture wallpaper
Some of the Anaglypt textured wallpaper are robust and easy to clean making it ideal for printing
This technique using the embossed paper with roller and using jigsaw or layering the wallpaper is more inline with relief printing than collagraph
