I am a Yorkshire artist print-maker based in Leeds producing handmade, original small edition Intaglio, Lino-cut and woodcut prints. I enjoy the traditional print process and time spent on each stage using my different craft skills. From drawing the idea in reverse, to hand carving and using traditional hand tools and some more unconventional for the intaglio printing . Then the artistic part creates infinite colour combinations by colour blending and merging ink together . The last stage of woodcut is hand burnishing with a wooden spoon also leaves its own mark. The print processes are unplanned and spontaneous and a surprise at the end when you reveal the print. This makes each print unique in its own way – the colour, the alignment, and the pressure. The images are inspired by landmarks around Leeds, including buildings you may walk past on the way to work or to the shops. Seen in a different light the architecture is emphasised so that aspects that maybe weren’t noticed before are highlighted
I share my passion for hand printmaking through Instagram and in-person workshops, engaging both adults and students in the creative process. My workshops, held in schools and community settings, celebrate the rich traditions of printmaking while also exploring modern techniques. Whether teaching classic methods or contemporary approaches, I aim to make printmaking accessible, hands-on, and inspiring for all ages.

“Thank you for a fabulous tetrapak workshop with Adrian today. It was informative, inspiring and well organised. Adrian was patient, encouraging and extremely accommodating… he was willing to work with everyone with regard to their own work and ambitions. I would love to do another workshop with him again.”
